6th Grade Field Trip!

Well we had a good Memorial Weekend overall. We spent our first weekend of the summer at the trailer and it didn't go too bad. Sleeping was the biggest issue or lack there of. Alexis found new freedom in convincing the girls across the road to take her everywhere with them. This really worked out well for me when Jordyn was napping because I then got a few moments of peace.

Yesterday, I went on my first real school trip with Zac. After working all of the time and my mom being the one that could go, it was finally my turn. All in all it was a good day but man is that a long bus ride with 30+ kids on a bus. We went to Medieval Times and the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. We left at 6:30am and didn't arrive at the school until 10:50pm and we were riding on Indian Trails buses which are quite nice but it is still a bus. My back is killing me today! There is no way to get comfortable in those seats for that period of time. I don't know how people travel across the country on a bus. Here are a few photos that Zac took of our day. I had to post the last one as Zac took a nice picture of the Tiger taking a leak. :)

Kenny Chesney!

Well Ken and I and our neighbors (Tim & Kelly) went to the Kenny Chesney concert last night and it was awesome. I have seen him I think 4 times now and it is just as good every time I go. Towards the end of the concert Uncle Kraker (not sure of that spelling) and Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland) came out on stage. I have a few photos that I will post but I am still wondering what Jennifer was doing there. Kelly & I speculate that maybe she has a "thing" going on with Kenny since she definitely was not dressed or prepared for performing. I really don't think that she had a lick of make up on because they turned the big screen off when she came out to sing with him. Not that she looks bad without it but under those bright lights - not so flattering. Great time was had by all.

Jordyn's 1st Birthday

The kids on Easter.

Getting Started

Well since many of my friends have started blogging, I thought I would give it a shot. We'll see if I'm better at updating this site than the myspace/facebook stuff.
Let's see, I'll give a quick run down on the kids stats to start.
Zac - is almost 12 and finishing up the 6th grade. This year has been quite a struggle with school work and I think he is going to finish on an up note. I really hope that next year is a little better for him. He is playing baseball right now and is doing quite well except his minor incident that involved some stitches.
Alexis - is 2 1/2 and is very much so going on 13 already. She is always the boss and makes sure that everyone knows it. Although she can be a handful she is very loving and sweet little girl and so much fun all the time.
Jordyn - just turned 1 and she is now starting to walk everywhere. This is good since it means less crawling through the dirt and on the cement but it also means lots of bumps and bruises. She just got her newest one this morning and boy is it a nice big bump!
We are one week away from starting our season up at the trailer. I'm very excited and a little nervous all together. I am excited because it is usually very relaxing and fun to just be away from the stresses of home and I'm nervous because changing the sleep routine, etc. for the girls usually means a little bit of trouble in the beginning. I'm crossing my fingers that they will be able to sleep in the same room together.
